Treasured Repose
April Fool's Day Mischief
On April Fool's day I made Dallin cry.
I told the kids we were having cupcakes for dinner. When the boys sat down to eat, they soon realized that these were no cupcakes. In fact, they were mini meat-loaves with mashed potato "frosting." As soon as this became clear, Dallin came unglued. "You lied!" he yelled, "I want cupcakes!" Then he ran from the kitchen. Caleb chuckled and rolled his eyes. Adam just looked confused.
Soon it was time for our "real dinner." Fish sticks with ketchup and celery. Well, actually chocolate wafer cookies, Laffy Taffy, and strawberry jam. :-)
I think all my kids thought I was crazy. It was so much fun.
